Marion Center

The Marian Center was established on August 15, 1988, the Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother, by Phil and Mary Lou Dreis. On February 9, 1989, Our Blessed Mother blessed the Center during an apparition in Medjugorje. A series of expansions over the years led to the renting of 4000 square feet of store space. The Center has been blessed with patrons from all corners of the globe, housed a prayer chapel completed with a life-size statue of Our Lady.

In 2005, Phil and Mary Lou Dreis passed the ministry on to Miles Jesu, a form of consecrated life in the Catholic Church for the laity, known as an Ecclesial Family of Consecrated Life. In order to more fully concentrate on its missions. In 2011 Miles Jesu sold the Center to Kathy and Bill Suhr of Elm Grove, WI. In 2018 the Center was closed in the old location and moved across the street to the Marian Community Center.

On August 15th 2019, to the joy of all our customers, Kathy reopened the store. We are in need of many volunteers to extend the hours, provide basic operations and supervision and help with the programs taking place in the Marian Center. Kathy and Bill themselves dedicate their time and talents as additional volunteers.

On June 19th 2020, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our store in a new location has opened the Three Holy Hearts prayer room with a hope to have it approved as an adoration chapel. We have been blessed by a tremendous outpouring of help while preparing our house prayer room (God’s office) and office for a priest. People have donated money, time, tools, materials, furniture, flowers and even relics. Please, pray with us that we could be a host for Our Lord in His Eucharistic Presence and offer it for our community as a fully Catholic prayer center.
