Fr. Larry Richards

Immaculée Ilibagiza

Immaculée Ilibagiza was born in Rwanda and studied electronic and mechanical engineering at the National University. She lost most of her family in the 1994 genocide. Four years later, she immigrated to the United States and began working for the United Nations in New York City. Now a full-time public speaker and writer, she is the author of Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust and two new books, Led by Faith: Rising from the Ashes of the Rwandan Genocide and Our Lady of Kiboho: Mary Speaks to the World from the Heart of Africa.


Helen Alvaré

Associate Professor of Law at George Mason University

Professor Alvaré received her law degree at Cornell University in 1984 and a master’s degree in systematic theology from The Catholic University of America in 1989. Professor Alvaré chaired the commission investigating clerical abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and is an advisor to Pope Benedict XVI’s Pontifical Council for the Laity, as well as an ABC News consultant. Her scholarship regularly treats current controversies about marriage, parenting, and the new reproductive technologies.


Vicki Thorn

Vicki Thorn is the founder of Project Rachel, the Catholic Church’s Ministry for post-abortion healing, and the Executive Director of the National Office of Post-Abortion Reconciliation & Healing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. An international expert and sought-after speaker on abortion recovery, she works with women and men recovering from abortion loss. This work led her to research how humans fall in love and bond to each other. She is a trauma counselor, spiritual director, prenatal loss and bereavement facilitator. She and her husband have six children.
